²⁵ And they asked him and said to him, Why do you baptize then, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor a prophet?

²⁶ John answered them, saying, I baptize with water, but one is come among you whom you do not know. ²⁷ He it is that comes after me, who was before me, whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to loose.
